How It Works

We're so glad you're interested in learning more about our process!

Selecting a Location & Booking Your Session

We do not offer in-studio sessions, but instead bring the process to you! This can be in your own home, a local park, or anywhere else you and your furry friend feel comfortable.

For outdoor sessions, we recommend starting in the morning (around 8:30), or later in the day around sunset. These times of the day give us the best natural lighting, and in summer, are cooler times of the day.

To book your session, head on over to Contact Us and fill out our form.

A $50 retainer will be due at the time of the booking. This is applied to your session fee, and is non-refundable.

We also request a signed contract and model release before your session.

The remaining balance is due on the date of your session.

We're happy to reschedule your session in the event of an emergency or illness, but we ask that you give us as much notice as possible.

Preparing for your session

Here are some tips on preparing for your session so that it's a stress-free and fun experience for everyone!

Behavior

We recommend taking your dog for a 15-30 minute walk about an hour before our session.

It's also helpful to feed him or her a little less than usual before the shoot. When a dog is a little more hungry, he or she will be more inclined to behave well for treats!

Grooming

A quick and simple grooming prior to your session will ensure your pet is looking his or her best for the photos!

It doesn't have to be professional, a quick brushing, cleaning around the eyes, and nail trimming will usually suffice.

What to bring

If we will be meeting outside your home, we request that you bring the following items:

  • Water bowl and bottle

  • Small hand towel for potential slobber

  • Leash (the thinner the better)

  • Potty bags

  • Favorite treats

  • Brush or comb

  • Favorite toys

  • Lint roller (if including humans in photos)

You're more than welcome to add any accessories you feel suit your companion, such as a bandana, favorite toy, or even a costume!

Please feel free to ask us for advice on what would look best in photos.

Your pet's safety is our number one priority. You must be present for the whole duration of your session. In public locations, we request you keep your pet on-leash, unless in a fenced in space. Don't worry, you won't see a leash in the final products!

We look forward to our time with you!
